Annual Awards Dinner- Thursday, June 10

                   MFSANY’s 90th Annual Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, June 10th at the Harbour Lights Restaurant,Pier 17, South Street Seaport, New York.  You’ll enjoy an evening of Dining, Award presentations, and a Silent Auction to benefit our Educational funds program. In addition, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the terrace over the East River and a wonderful view of the Brookly Bridge & the Statute of Liberty.

                   This year we honor: Greg Wells, CGSM,  with the John McDonald Kane Award and Jerry Levey, PaperMart with the Associate Member of the Year Award.  We’ll also have  Employee Recognition Awards for a lucky few.

The Tour – Tour a state of the art facility in Pine Brook, NJ.

Pitney Bowes Presort is the leading provider of mail presorting services for First Class and Standard Mail in the United States. This plant is responsible for handling mail from companies from Trenton north and all the way east to New York City. They utilize high speed equipment and hardware and software in managing all
aspects of the mail automation process that gives their clients the opportunity to gain signifi cant
postal discounts from pick-up, presort, barcoding and induction into the USPS system .

The Presentation – MFSA, DMA and NAPL have just released a Whitepaper of a joint research
study done by the Winterberry Group. It centers on what do production companies have
to provide to meet the various challenges of the economy, social media, processing costs, the
environment. Ken Garner, President & CEO of MFSA will take us through the highlights and
give us some guidance on meeting these challenges.

Ken Garner, President and CEO, MFSA – Ken joined the Mailing & Fulfi llment Service Association in
November 2008 as its President and CEO after a 33 year career in the printing industry – all with the
same company. He joined United Litho, a heatset web magazine printing company, after receiving his undergraduate degree. Working his way up the corporate latter from janitor/delivery driver he held a varietyof jobs including V.P of Operations and V.P. of Sales and Marketing. He spent the last 12 years of his printing career as United Litho’s president. In 1994, he engineered the sale of the company to the Sheridan Group and became a member of its Leadership Team. Ken has an extensive background as a volunteer leader serving as a Director on the Boards of the Printing Industry of Virginia, the National Association for Printing Leadership, and the Graphic Arts Show Corporation. He served as chairman of the Environmental Conservation Board, PIA’s Executive Development Program, the Graphic Arts Education & Research Foundation, and NAPL. He is a member of NAPL’s Walter E. Soderstrom Society. In 2002, he received the Walter E. Soderstrom Award. He lives with his wife Mary in Fairfax Station, Virginia and spends much of his free time following his daughter’s collegiate basketball career.
